Sparkling Celestial Wedding Inspiration With Blue & Gold
Ever been entranced by the magic of all things celestial? Of moons and stars? Of galaxy and skies of deep indigo?
Photographer The Mountain Folk Films and Photography collaborating with planner & stylist White Magnolia Events at the beautiful, industrial backdrop of Lithgow State Mine to create a wedding editorial designed for “star crossed lovers”.
Stylist Nicky sharing “With many couples looking for a less traditional ceremony, and going for a more spiritual experience, we imagined a dreamy, ethereal wedding with elements of astrology, crystals, and getting back to nature, blended with a palette of moody blues and accented with opulent gold touches.”
Our bride, model Alana Maclean, who dressed in multiple gowns by designer Diane Lewis,(including a breathtaking hydrangea blue ballgown ) had her look finished with jewels from Ashlee Lauren Designs and hair and makeup by Laura Dhir. Alana accompanied by Matthew Murphy as the pair played out a couple whose journey was written in the stars. The Flower Creative weaving deep blue and peachy toned floral arrangements through bouquets and boutonnieres, centrepieces and backdrops to tie the look together.
Natalie Jane Wedding Invitations creating a celestial-inspired stationery pieces – inky blue card with shimmering gold lettering, inviting guests to celebrate in a celebration worthy of attention.
Inside, a table set, with pieces from Simply Seated, Blue Mountains Special Event Hire and Unique Props & Events welcomed guests to dine on a feast catered by Vegan Weddings and Events. Bondi Letters hand lettering crystals as a sparkling finishing touch. There were even wedding favours- guests gifted luxe fragrance oils by Elementum Cosmetics.
And the cake, the cake is what every galaxy lover’s dreams are made of, Eva Emilia Cake Design creating a tiered masterpiece in tones of blue, of course, topped with stars and moons.
This was an editorial, designed to capture and show how personal a wedding can be; from a vegan wedding menu, to crystal details and beautiful gowns. Says Nicky “There are many non-traditional and alternative choices making their way into the mainstream and becoming easier to source, with the rise of independent online retailers.
This means that couples are no longer limited to a narrow scope of choices, but that they can be incredibly specific and personalised with choosing items for their weddings. We can personalise weddings even more now, than previously. This desire for a bespoke look, with the possibilities of customising all the finer details, means that individuals now have even more possibilities to create something completely personalised to them. And being able to create something which is completely specific to you and your partner, and celebrates who you are, is pretty amazing!”
